Glass Heart Broken by Lindsey Iler

Glass Heart Broken (Glass Heart Academy, #2)Glass Heart Broken by Lindsey Iler
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Honestly, had to go back and reread book one (Glass Heart Savage) since I last read it in March! Lindsey did state that Glass Heart Broken had been delayed because of COVID and I must say that every single word of this book was worth the wait.

Every single question I had after finishing the first book was answered. Everything made sense. She's got everything in place for the rest of the series. Book two has everything you loved from book one, and then some. The characters are still just as deliciously bad for you as they were. There's nothing I love more than a good anti-hero. Those boys you shouldn't love, but you're just drawn too. The boys from the glasshouse are perfectly packaged bad boys.

We’re back with Marek and Palmer and the epic cliff-hanger that we were left within the first book. The boys have tried to break Palmer and when that failed, they’ve tried to fold her into their group, but Palmer is stronger than they think and her forgiveness is not going to be easy, especially for the boy who has broken her heart….Marek.

Marek can admit he's played wicked games with Palmer in the past, but as his feelings are growing for her he's not sure how he can forgive himself for the hurt he's caused her. He's also not sure he can just shut off the dark side that lives inside of him, but he's gotten to a point where he craves her and isn't sure how to ever let her go. Before he can even contemplate a future he has a past he needs to deal with and it has just crash-landed on his doorstep and it seems the more he and Palmer try to uncover the mystery surrounding the murders on campus the more they find themselves falling into something more sinister than they ever thought possible.

Overall it was great to go back to this world and cannot wait for the next book!

A White Picket Fence by Laura Branchflower

35958837. sy475 A White Picket Fence by Laura Branchflower
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Okay...I had to reread chapters of this book a couple of times to finally rest my mind.

This book was HEARTBREAKING!

Simple as that. There were parts in this book where I just had to step away and take a breather. In case you didn't know this book that

Lina, I honestly feel for you darling. I personally would not have taken Phillip back. I would have left him and found myself someone else. She had the patience of a saint. In her shoes, I would have not tolerated Megan, I'm sorry but that girl pissed me off every time she was on-page. Next, Lina put up with more attitude from her ungrateful 2nd daughter Katie than any mother should ever have to. I loved the way Lina totally accepted Katie's boyfriend Matt into the fold though, totally making him a part of a family setting that he didn't have the fortune of having in his own broken family. It was very touching. The only one I feel really understood Lina and the pain Phil had done was her son Logan. Yes, he may be described as a mama's boy but he loves his mother and felt betrayed by his father.

Phil really pissed me off. He was a control freak over the entire family, but especially to Lina after he was forced to tell her the truth about his affair. He was such a major dick! The thing that pissed me off the most about him was how he expected Lina to keep his affair a secret from everybody, and bitching at her for the people she confided in about his infidelity. You know, because now others would know what a cheating prick he really is. As if keeping his manwhoring secrets should have been her burden to bear. Plus, he didn't even explain or give reason to why he ended the affair. He just wanted it to be a thing in the past and move on not even give poor Lina time to mourn the relationship she believed she had with her partner.

Overall, this book was an insane roller coaster of emotions. There are some triggers so be warned.

Broken Kingdom by Ashley Jade

Broken Kingdom by Ashley Jade
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

wow...wow...WOW!!

That is literally all I can think of when reading this book! It was a roller coaster of emotions that

THIS IS THE BIANCA I NEEDED! We got a mix of the new Bianca and the old Bianca which just made her the PERFECT heroine in this series. We all know Bianca never needed someone to rescue herself she could do it all alone but, even the strongest person sometimes needs someone to lean on. Oakley was her support, the person she needed when it got too much for her and he was there for her no matter what. Bianca is literally the human person of the princess who saves herself and becomes a QUEEN!

Oakley has always been the character I've been dying to read when it comes to this series. This boy here owned my heart and soul (SORRY COLE!) all the hardships and heartbreak made him a better version of himself. A lost soul that came full circle and fought for what he wanted. To understand these two, Ashley took us back to where everything fell apart, combining past and present scenes, making us come full circle where everything was divulged leaving our minds blown, and our hearts exploding!

Overall, this book was amazing and such an enjoyable read. The journey these characters have taken me throughout this series is unforgettable and I HOPE we will see them again shortly, be by a bonus chapter or novella whatever! I just can't let these characters go yet! Ashley Jade wrote an emotional conclusion that left nothing left hanging and gave it to us in a pretty big bow.
